About Our Pastor

Jake Claunch is the Lead Pastor of Eagle Heights Community Church.  Having grown up in southern Louisiana in a pastors home, he has been in training for ministry almost his entire life.  He and his wife Ashley met in High School and shortly after their graduation were married.  Jake attended Ministers Training Institute in Baton Rouge, La. before taking a part time youth pastor position at Eagle Heights Community Church in Hammond, La.  After becoming the full time youth pastor one year later, and growing a successful student ministry, he became the Associate pastor where he served in all facets of church life ministries from pulpit ministry to overseeing construction projects of the church.  Jake and Ashley have a desire to have a church where people can be taught the basic spiritual principles to lead better happier lives.  A church where anyone is welcome, everyone is accepted, and no one stays the same.
